Unexpected favor

On Feb 16 (Sun) , I was miles away from home attending a wedding ceremony in HK Island. Suddenly, I received a call. It was mom. In a worrying tone, she told me she was waiting for an ambulance because she could hardly move after falling down onto the ground by accident. As she recalled, the accident was caused by a slippery rubbish (food remains) on road side.

It was a long story of the awful experience in the emergency unit of Prince of Wales Hospital. In short, my mom was treated after 9 hours of delay because of the nurses' mistakes, and had an operation for her broken knee the next day. If my mom does not recover well, I would definitely file a serious complaint on the neglience and poor attitude of those nurses. >:-(

Mom has been looking after me meticulously up to present. Now I feel obliged to take care of her in return. However, there is no way easy to stop an independent professional housewife to do the house chores, kind of automatic as if she is programmed that way. Looking at her swollen knee, I hated myself unable to do anything to help. A few days ago, as advised by the physiotherapist, mom started to use ice to reduce the swelling of the injured knee which only helped a little.

The day before, while having dinner with Yan, I talked about mom's circumstance. Unexpectedly, she offered to give me a unit of the Aircast cooler (as shown in the pictures), which is widely used in hospitals for curing swollen knee. Further explained, the company she works for is indeed the sole distributor of this device in HK. It was unbelievable. How amazing and thankful! Yan reminded me it was God's will. After using the device for 2 days, I could see much improvement for mom's knee!
Hallelujah! Praise to God. He provides for our need before we asked. He blessed my mom and me through an act of kindness by Yan. I pray that God gives me the chance of being a blessing to others in future.

P.S. As Yan explained, this device applies compression in addition to ice therapy which enables the cooling effect to reach the inner tissue, thus makes it a far superior treatment than an ice pack.
